Analynn graduated from high school a competent
student in English Literature, Mathematics, Physics, Architectural
Drafting, and Chemistry. She also excelled as a musician - Analynn
began teaching piano at age 13. Analynn was fluent in French, having
also studied Italian and Latin. Her interest in languages prompted
her to further study German, Russian, and Chinese. Analynn completed
a Bachelor of Music Education degree in Canada before moving to San
Francisco, California, where she embarked on graduate studies in
both religious music and education. Analynn is currently pursuing a
doctoral degree.
ANALYNN has taught
Music
as well as
Art,
English Literature, Language Arts, English as a second language
[ESL],
and English For Academic Purposes [EAP]. She
has written various materials including novels,
short stories and lyrics. As a visual artist, Analynn's
collection includes a water colour series entitled, CHI,
a grouping of sculptures entitled,
ART IS,
and numerous graphic designs.
Sports continue to play an important role in
Analynn's life. Her training as a youth in figure skating, tennis, and
badminton set the foundation for Analynn's continued involvement in
other sports such as downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing,
volleyball, Flat-water Sprint Kayaking, Karate, TaeKwonDo, Tai Chi,
swimming, snorkelling, weight-lifting, hiking, cycling, and running.
Interest in the healing arts and ancient medicine
has resulted in Analynn studying psychology, Psychoneuroimmunology,
Chinese and Japanese therapies, Ayurveda, Hatha and Kundalini Yogas,,
and Qi Qong. Religious studies in Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, and
cults have Analynn currently researching the link, if any, between
spirituality and wellness.
Analynn is committed to
community through her volunteer efforts: as a musician,
offering her talents for charitable organizations, for church, school,
and community theatre events; as an educator, coaching sports for
non-profit clubs and schools, working with students who participate in
club activities such as cadets or 4H, and teaching music to at-risk
students, providing them with an alternative to suicide, drugs, alcohol,
etc.; or participating in events sponsored by organizations such as
YMCA/YWCA, hospices for cancer patients, MADD, Food Bank, and the
Salvation Army.
Accomplishments in literature, music, art, sports, religion, and the
healing arts - Analynn is truly a 21st
century Renaissance Woman.
